The cottage has three rooms: an elegant sitting room with fitted kitchen along one wall and dining space in the corner; a spacious bathroom and a large bedroom with super-king-size bed.<\/p>\n
The kitchen is very well-equipped and is fitted with an electric oven and halogen hob; fridge and dish-washer. (Please note, there is no microwave) There is a washing machine in the entrance to the bothy in the garden and you’ll find an airer in the hall cupboard, and a washing line in the garden. Tea towels and towels are provided, and basic cleaning items.\u00a0 The sitting room has two comfortable sofas, an electric fire, coffee table and dining table.\u00a0 The other electric heaters will be on for background heating. We offer a TV for watching DVDs but the cottage does not have a TV aerial.\u00a0 We have a very good collection of books about the Highlands and Islands, some of which are hard to come by.\u00a0 Please enjoy these books, and leave them for others to enjoy after you. There is also a CD player and our own collection of Scottish music CDs for your enjoyment. We do have WiFi in the cottage and there is now fibre-optic cable throughout the island (this has been a talking point for years!) but<\/em> please remember you are on a tiny island far, far away, and there may sometimes be inexplicable interruptions to the service …<\/p>\n The bathroom has an over-the-bath shower with grab rail and lots of hot water. The newly fitted towel rail is always on, for your convenience. All towels are provided.<\/p>\n The bedroom is large and comfortable, all bedding is provided, and spare Harris Tweed blankets should you need them. You will find DVDs, games and jigsaw puzzles in the chest in the bedroom.\u00a0The electric heater will be on for background heating,<\/p>\n Each room has views across the sea from all of the back windows.<\/p>\n There is a small entrance hall with stores cupboard and coat hooks.<\/p>\n The cottage is strictly no smoking.<\/p>\n Dogs<\/span><\/p>\n We know that you would like to\u00a0 bring your dog\/s with you, and the ferries are all dog-friendly. Our policy is to ask you to please let us know if you are bringing a dog and we will advise you if you have any questions.\u00a0 The cottage, though comfortable and spacious for two adults, does not have a scullery, or a drying-off room, so you\u00a0 do need to bear this in mind.\u00a0 We will accept one large dog or two small, but ask that they are not allowed on the sofas or the bed and that you do\u00a0 ‘de-doggify’ the cottage and garden at the end of your stay. There is no extra charge for you to bring your dog.<\/p>\n Garden<\/span><\/p>\n There is a grassed garden (not quite up to ‘lawn’ standard, it’s a little bit rocky, and sometimes a little bit wild!) with a bench and glorious views over the seal colony.\u00a0 In the garden is a stone-built bothy (with access to washing machine) and owners, Anna and Hilary, may be staying there during your\u00a0 visit.\u00a0 If not, our house-keeper lives nearby and will help you out with local knowledge, and be on the spot to deal with any unforeseen problems.<\/p>\n Please note: Lighting fires or barbeques in any part of the garden is strictly forbidden (fire risk – thatched roof!).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The cottage has three rooms: an elegant sitting room with fitted kitchen along one wall and dining space in the corner; a spacious bathroom and a large bedroom with super-king-size bed.
